In last year's Fairhaven Cultural Council Community Survey, residents stated they wanted more educational programs in the natural sciences, especially related to our local ecology. We listened! Here's an upcoming, FCC grant winning workshop from the Fairhaven Green Lanterns.

This program is funded in part by a grant from the Fairhaven Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Curious about cultivating plants in your own South Coast garden so that they thrive in the climate? Mark your calendar and plan to join our free, fun workshop in Cushman Park on Saturday, June 20th at 2 pm!

Funded by the Fairhaven Cultural Council in conjunction with the Mass Cultural Council, local horticultural guru Jennifer Anderson of Tree Talk Natives will walk us through plants and trees specific to our region and how to create successful garden plans (and bonus: free plants for participants).

The Fairhaven Cultural Council's 2026 Community Survey is now open! Every year we seek Fairhaven residents' feedback. We need to know your cultural opinions, interests, and needs. What you share directly influences how we invest our grant funds.

Our monies help a wide range of activities happen in town. These include, but are not limited to music events, art shows, natural science classes, historical lectures, theatre, author appearances, school field trips, podcasts, dance performances, and movie nights.

Starting TODAY there's a new family music series in town–Backyard Band Jams Goes to Cushman Park! This is an outdoor Jam, so please bring something to sit on and outdoor necessities (sunscreen, water, bug spray, etc). The event is FREE and happens once a month.

96% of the grantees are receiving their first grant from Mass Cultural Council
