Congratulations to the first class of Solano Community College students who received their California Naturalist certifications today. The course is a partnership with the UC Agriculture & Natural Resources Environmental Stewards program.
The certificates were funded by a private donation to the Foundation.

The 42nd issue of the Solano Community College Suisun Valley Review has been released. It features 'Word Count' by 2026 Quinton Duval Award Winner Makaiah Robertson, who read it as part of the Review's Release Reading.

Established in 2009, the Quinton Duval Award in Creative Writing is awarded annually to recognize excellence in the creative works of current Solano Community College students.

We are grateful to First Northern Bank for partnering with the Solano Community College Educational Foundation to support Keys to Your First Home, a first-time homebuyer workshop held on campus on January 22, 2026, in collaboration with Girl, Yes You Can!

This workshop provided Solano Community College students with valuable education and resources to better understand the homebuying process and build a foundation for long-term financial stability. Opportunities like this reflect the power of community partnerships in expanding access, knowledge, and confidence for our students.
