We recently sent out this insert with all utility bills.
With the rising cost of postage and the amount of time it is taking for mail to leave and come back to Fairfield, we would love to implement email bills. This would mean you could opt out of receiving a paper bill and receive your monthly statement via email. No more lost mail, no more receiving it so long after we've mailed it. If you are interested, please fill out and return the insert to City Hall. If I am not in the office, please just put it into the night drop (brass mail slot just to the left of the front door).
If you don't mail your payment in and/or can't make it here in person you can always send an email letting us know you're interested to [email protected]

Unfortunately, due to vandalism and the weather, the City must postpone the ice skating party. We are tentatively planning for February 28th.
In addition, the rink is CLOSED for any use until we can get it back to a safe and usable and condition.

The City is happy to announce that the skating rink is OPEN!!!

We do ask you to please respect the DO NOT ENTER ribbon and ONLY exit and enter the rink using the ramp.

As we have no snow cover to protect the excess white liner around the outside of the rink, it is left exposed and can be damaged by sharp skates. It is extremely costly to replace, and without it, we will not have a rink.

Please come to City Hall to borrow ice skates for the day or for the season.

Happy Skating!!!

The City is asking for EVERYONE to stay off the ice rink while we try to get the ice built up.
We have videos of teens getting in it and walking around and even an adult stepping into the rink more than once and breaking through the ice.
The City puts a lot of time and effort into having the skating rink each year for everyone to enjoy, as well as putting on the skating party.
It would be a shame if we no longer had such a wonderful free activity.
Parents, please talk to your children about the importance of staying off of the ice until the skating rink is open and adults, please also, stay off the ice.
