We're excited to launch the first video in our new Groundwater Protection series!
What if you could learn how to help protect one of our region's most valuable natural resources...in just two minutes?
Thanks to a Source Water Protection Grant from the Ohio EPA, along with the support of the Hamilton to New Baltimore Groundwater Consortium and our member the City of Fairfield, which graciously administered the grant, we've created a series of five short, engaging videos designed to help everyone better understand our shared groundwater resources and how we can all help protect them.
In our first video, you'll discover:
- Why protecting our groundwater starts with all of us.
- How education, community involvement, and stewardship help safeguard our shared aquifer.
- Simple everyday actions that help protect our drinking water for future generations.
- Ways you can get involved through the 5K Race for Global Water, river cleanups, community partnerships, and other local conservation efforts.
Protecting our groundwater isn't just the responsibility of water professionals—it's something every one of us can help with.
As you watch the video, we also invite you to join us for the Race for Global Water 5K on Saturday, August 1. It's a fun, family-friendly event that celebrates clean water while supporting groundwater education and source water protection efforts throughout our region.
Take two minutes to watch the first video, then consider taking the next step by joining us on August 1. Together, we can protect the water beneath our feet—for today and for generations to come.
What's one thing you do to help protect our water resources? Share it in the comments! And if you haven't registered yet, we hope to see you at the Race for Global Water 5K on August 1!
