A few weeks ago, Percy and Javier accepted a challenge.

They spent six days at Camp Royal, one of the most respected youth leadership programs in the country, surrounded by students from across California who are all preparing for one of the biggest years of their lives: senior year.

Today, they had the opportunity to come back and share what they learned with the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club members who helped make the experience possible.

What impressed us most wasn't that they attended Camp Royal. It was that they were willing to step outside their comfort zones, meet new people, challenge themselves, and invest time in becoming stronger leaders.
The transition into senior year happens fast. In just a few short months, they will be making decisions about college, careers, service, and what comes next. Programs like Camp Royal help them build the confidence, communication skills, and leadership tools they'll carry into that next chapter.

A huge thank you to Rotary for believing in local teens and creating opportunities that help young people discover what they are capable of.

And congratulations to Percy and Javier for representing PAL, the Rotary, Armijo High School, Vanden, and City of Fairfield, CA - Government so well.

We may have reached a Feast with the Finest milestone tonight.

After dinner with Fairfield, CA Police Department Officer Lawrence at Texas Roadhouse, Andre and Jesse came back to PAL so full they were both fighting to stay awake.

Apparently ribs, burgers, cheesecake, and great conversation are a powerful combination.

It's the chance for our members to sit down, share stories, ask questions, laugh, and build relationships with the officers who serve our community.

A huge thank you to Texas Roadhouse for making these dinners possible and for treating our members to a meal they won't forget.
If you're looking for a place for your next family dinner, we hope you'll support the restaurant that keeps supporting local kids. Thank you, Texas Roadhouse, for investing in Fairfield's teens.

A very special Fairfield gift is headed all the way to Japan. โ›ณ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต

A huge thank-you to Green Valley Country Club for sending King off with a special Green Valley golf snapback for his host family. One of the family members he will be staying with loves golf, and the club was kind enough to send a piece of Fairfield from their course for him to share.

That is what makes Sister City so special. It is not just a trip. It is students sitting at a familyโ€™s dinner table, sharing stories, learning new customs, making thoughtful connections, and realizing that a city across the world can start to feel familiar.

City of Fairfield, CA - Government has shared a Sister City relationship with Nirasaki, Japan, since 1971. Each summer, local high school students travel to Nirasaki to live with host families, visit schools and culturais sites, and represent Fairfield as student ambassadors. In the winter, Fairfield gets to return that welcome by hosting students from Nirasaki.

We are incredibly proud of King and the other Fairfield students selected for this yearโ€™s exchange. They are carrying Fairfield with them โ€” and apparently, a little golf-course style too.

Thank you Green Valley Country Club for helping King bring a small piece of Fairfield along for the journey!!!
