A Gift to the Class of 2021
The students from the FHS Class of 2021 have missed out on many things during their final year of school, primarily due to COVID-19. Either events were canceled, or else attendance was limited to just a few.
For that reason, journalism teacher Mark Braam is offering - as a gift to the Class of 2021 - the links to almost all the photos he took at FHS events during the 2020-21 school year.
This link -- https://bit.ly/FHS20-21PhotoLinks -- goes to a Google Doc that lists links from graduation, athletics, plays, concerts, prom, and more. It is a living document, so more links will be added as time goes on (particularly from both graduation ceremonies).
Congratulations, seniors!

Fairfield High School seniors rehearsed Monday for their big day!
On Saturday, May 29, will graduate in two ceremonies at Xavier University's Cintas Center. Students with last names beginning with A-L will be at 10 a.m. and M-Z will be at 1 p.m.
To prepare, students gathered in their alphabetical groupings in the Fairfield HS Arena. There, they learned where they will be seated, and practiced processing to the front with the aid of teacher row leaders. In addition, teachers Ann Swigart and Mike Massie practiced reading each student's name.

Happening today! Tuesday and Wednesday, May 25 and 26, the Fairfield Alumni Stadium will be open and available for the class of '21 to take photos. Similar to last year, we will have the Tribe Banner, the Victory Bell and the Scoreboard all set up for photos. These photo opportunities will be available from 6-9pm, no need to signup for a specific time. There will not be a professional photographer available, so please plan accordingly. Hope to see the class of 2021 there!

We are proud to announce that Cheryl Geisler, FCSD EMIS Coordinator; and Angie Isgro, EMIS Specialist, are new graduates of the SWOCA EMIS Advanced Leaders program! They spent two years in this progressive level of training designed to increase the skills, confidence, and accountability needed to be advanced EMIS leaders.
EMIS is an acronym for Educational Management Information System and is defined as a system for the collection, integration, processing, maintenance, and dissemination of data within a school system. The information is used to support decision-making, planning, monitoring, and management.
The program included presentations from outside speakers on leadership, personal awareness, public speaking, and other topics. Participants were also required to submit continuing education/training hours each year. Additionally, their work included creating and leading a presentation to hone public speaking skills, and a capstone project that showcased the leadership and collaborative skills they learned in the program.
"I valued the opportunity to engage with my peers on a more personal level, rather than just sitting side by side at a training, Geisler said. "I have developed a network of EMIS Coordinators who I can turn to for advice and support."
Isgro agreed, adding "I personally gained confidence in myself and my knowledge. I have built relationships with other EMIS Coordinators that will be great resources for me."
Well done, ladies!
