My name is Shelley Rudnicki and I'm in my second term in The Maine State Legislature House District #108. My husband of almost 34 years Tony and I have lived in the town of Fairfield for 27 years. We have raised two beautiful children Tony 31 a lineman for CMP and Shelby 25 a Brand Marketing Manager for Softt Shoe Co. I opened my own business Shelley's Used Cars in Fairfield Center in 2013. I grew up 1 of 5 children in the town of Knox, Maine on a chicken farm. I graduated from Mount View and went on to Husson College for 2 years, when like many young people, life and work got in the way. Several years ago I decided that I was going to finish my degree. I decided that I wanted to finish before my daughter Shelby started college. I didn’t quite meet that goal but was able to finish my degree in November of her freshman year of college. I am proud to say that I now have a Bachelor’s degree from Ashford University. I have always believed that it is my civic duty to give back to my community. I spent more than nine years as a member as of Benton Elementary PTO. I served about 12 years as a member of the Fairfield planning board. I am a member of Martha Washington chapter in Waterville and Fireside Chapter in Clinton of the Order of Eastern Star. I served as president of the Central Maine CATV board of directors . I served 11 years as a member of the msad 49 Board of school directors and the last 3 years as chairman. As member of the school board for 11 years I helped to bring about many changes. It was not an easy job and sometimes it's a thankless job but I did my best to look out for our students our staff and the taxpayers in the District. I believe I brought that same commitment and dedication as your State Representative for House District 108, Fairfield, Mercer and Smithfield.
