🎼 Synergy Winds performed at the Iowa Gold Star Military Museum’s annual Memorial Day event yesterday where a free military-style breakfast was served. Visitors and veterans were invited to tour the exhibits, pay their respects, and donate to the blood drive. 🇺🇸

🎤 Sergeant Mark Meier sang the National Anthem at two patriotic sporting events in the Des Moines metropolitan area yesterday.

🏒 His first performance was at the Iowa Salutes Heroes Tournament, a hockey tournament hosted by VFW Post 12208.

🏈 Then he sang the Anthem for Military Appreciation Night at the Iowa Barnstormers game.

🪊 Scrap Metal 🎺 enjoyed performing at the America 250 Kickoff to Summer Celebration yesterday!

Military and community members gathered at Camp Dodge to celebrate the beginning of summer along with our Nation’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. 🇺🇸

The event included a special ceremony that honored distinguished Iowa National Guard service members and civilians followed by family-friendly fun and music! 🎵

This past weekend, the 34th Army Band was represented by two teams of four members, along with support staff, at the Governor’s X Marksmanship Competition at Camp Dodge. Nearly 100 Soldiers and Airmen competed in various marksmanship challenges designed to test precision, speed, and accuracy under pressure. 🔥

Our Alpha Team (SSG Eric Newman, SGT Jeff Roloff, SGT Mark Meier, SPC John Dubberke) was pleased to place in three categories:
•3rd Place, Overall Combined Arms
•2nd Place, Rifle Team
•3rd Place, Pistol Team

Our Unit Weapons Training NCO, Staff Sergeant Eric Newman, also shot extremely well and placed at the top in several categories:
•2nd Place, Individual Combined Arms
•2nd Place, Individual Rifle
•2nd Place, Individual Pistol

Congratulations to our incredible shooters! 👏 🏆
