Old Age is a Point of Reference Eververyone Reaches in Time.
AGED AS I LEARNED
I aged as I learned; that seems logical and reasonable. However; as a sparsely learned person, I knew few concepts of my responsibility in life. My life now includes many beliefs and concepts in old age which were absent in my youth. I acquired additional personal responsibilities with age. I ignored certain responsibilities which were attended to by system planners in career fields which I worked un-retired. I went to work daily for a set amount of time; I had responsibilities as an employee not a housing nor business developer.
An employee lacks understanding of life which employers and career planers view with advanced knowledge and perspectives; the employee follows their plans or assumes his own risks. My responsibility in life has changed gradually in an aging and experience process.
In the prime of my life I had many disappointments. I strived for better things in life. I desired better environment, housing, transportation, clothing, food, love, even s*x but a better life actually involved a combination of them. I was a gullible young man becoming Americanize. I had to learn which qualities were good enough, in order, to live a stable life pattern.
I now have personal responsibilities in my life which, in the past, were assumed by employers and business systems. A person can carry out a greater or lesser responsibility for his own life. In the past when I was younger, I had the stamina and strength to accomplish work I was given in career work, I believe I should thank planners of my careers. While with age, greater personal responsibilities were expected of me, I needed to plan more of my duties for myself. When I retired from a career I realized that some help I received in the career was due to responsiveness of our businesses and government. Some career fields provide better life and security to their employees than others, employees, however; usually makes few independent decisions and seldom realize it. Generally, in fairness to retired persons, others must realize they need to do things themselves, another cannot be expected to help at all times.
A retired person is regarded as someone who makes independent decisions in his work schedule and appointments so he has to plan and fulfill responsibilities. Transitioning new style to old style life does not occur automatically, it requires planning, often to details. I needed to modify duties; increase some, and decrease some, and there were many aspects of life to re-consider.
I learned to work like an older person; as best I could and time and body allowed. I can contribute efficiently to the system as one who is older. An older person, in business or retirement has responsibilities which are better assigned to them than inexperienced persons. Providers of products and services for the elderly and aged need to know how the elderly perform and the services and care they can provide for themselves. Providers of products and services then can arrange to provide environments, housing, products, and services meant to assist elderly citizens to maintain desirable life qualities they can find satisfactory in domestic settings.
Every individual in a democracy performs has to perform to certain standards of responsibility and quality, individuals are classified and grouped to make local, regional and national decisions. Characteristics of a national leadership involved people who contributed their opinions in due processes.
