🔥 UPDATE: Just Look at the Difference! 🔥

Our vehicle heat demonstration is underway in front of the Fairfield Glade Police Department, and the results are eye-opening.

🌡️ Current Outdoor Temperature: 93.8°F
🚗 Current Vehicle Temperature: 114°F

That’s a difference of more than 20 degrees inside the vehicle—and the day isn’t over yet. The temperature inside a parked car can climb to deadly levels in just minutes, even with the windows cracked.

⚠️ A few important reminders:
• Never leave a child, pet, or vulnerable adult unattended in a vehicle.
• Always check the back seat before locking your doors.
• Keep vehicles locked when not in use to prevent children from climbing inside.
• If you see a child or pet alone in a hot vehicle, call 911 immediately.

A quick stop can turn into a tragedy in only a few minutes. Help us spread the word and protect those who can’t protect themselves.

👀 Stay tuned for another update later this afternoon to see just how high the temperature climbs!

🌡️🚗 How Hot Does Your Vehicle Get? Faster Than You Think! 🚗🌡️

We have our vehicle thermometer gauge set up in front of the Fairfield Glade Police Department to demonstrate just how quickly the temperature inside a parked vehicle can rise.

📸 This photo was taken just 10 minutes after setup at approximately 9:10 a.m. Even during the morning hours, temperatures inside a vehicle can climb rapidly and become dangerous in a matter of minutes.

❗Never leave children, pets, or vulnerable adults unattended in a vehicle—not even for a short errand. Cracking the windows does little to slow the temperature increase.

Vehicle Heat Dangers:
☀️ Interior temperatures can rise 20+ degrees in just 10 minutes.
☀️ Heatstroke can occur when the body reaches 104°F, and can become fatal at 107°F.
☀️ Children and pets overheat much faster than adults.
☀️ Even on a mild day, the inside of a vehicle can reach deadly temperatures.

Heat Safety Tips:
✅ Always check the back seat before locking your vehicle.
✅ Keep your vehicle locked to prevent children from climbing inside.
✅ Place a purse, phone, or another essential item in the back seat as a reminder to check.
✅ If you see a child or pet alone in a hot vehicle, call 911 immediately.

👀 Check back later this afternoon as we’ll post an update to show just how high the temperature climbs! Help us spread the word—one quick reminder could save a life.
