CANDIDATE SPOTLIGHT. The Candidates of OCC 245 class at USMC Officer Candidates School recently inducted into training this past weekend, and began the path to earning the title Marine Officer, and one of life’s greatest honors and privileges: to lead Marines. After completing in-processing and found fit to train as officer candidates, Alpha and Delta Companies were briefed by the battalion and company commanders of what is expected of them while they are aboard Brown Field. Soon afterwards, they met their platoon staffs for the very first time.

The path to becoming an officer in the United States Marine Corps is not for everyone. Yet, OCS is an unparalleled opportunity for candidates to prove themselves, and hone their skills as both individuals, and future leaders of Marines.

Some of OST Fairfax’s finest, candidates Dicarlo, Carr, and Zabala, are getting after it over on Brown Field! Over the next nine weeks, they will be evaluated on their leadership potential, academic performance, and physical fitness. Keep them in your thoughts as they seek to earn the title. Semper Fi!
