June is National Safety Month, and public safety is about more than just security—it is about preparing for a safer tomorrow.

For this , Deputy Barb is highlighting the impactful work happening every day behind the scenes at the Adult Detention Center. Our deputies manage vital programs, including comprehensive medical care and critical reentry resources, all designed to help individuals succeed after their time with us.

By focusing on professional management and reducing recidivism, we aren’t just managing a facility—we are protecting the future of our community.

The first nice day in about a week, and several of our deputies took advantage of some sunshine liberty!
St. Anthony Academy, Fairfax, VA invited members of the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office to join in during their Field Day festivities. The kids peppered the deputies with questions, and the deputies had fun playing games alongside.
Here’s to a happy and safe summer. Thank you for having us along today. We look forward to another round of Tug-O-War!

Thank you to VFW Post 8469 and American Legion Post 177 for hosting this moving tribute. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we remain forever grateful for the freedoms they helped protect.
