In the world of biological defense: when people actually screamed from ice cream.
Legal action stemming from the 2015 listeria outbreak from contaminated Blue Bell ice cream. The ice cream was linked to 10 listeria cases in four states and resulted in three deaths in Kansas.
Listeriosis is a potentially fatal infection caused by the germ listeria, which is found in soil, water, raw milk and some animals like poultry and cattle. Unlike many other germs, it can grow in the cold temperature of a refrigerator or in a food processing plant.

A Texas grand jury charged Paul Kruse, Blue Bell Creameries' former CEO and president, was charged with wire fraud and conspiracy in connection with an alleged cover-up of the company's 2015 listeria outbreak, the Department of Justice announced on Wednesday.

Nine in ten recovered COVID-19 patients experience side-effects:
In an online survey of 965 recovered COVID-19 patients, 879 people or 91.1% responded they were suffering at least one side-effect from the disease, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) official Kwon Jun-wook told a briefing.

Nine in ten coronavirus patients reported experiencing side-effects such as fatigue, psychological after-effects and loss of smell and taste after they recovered from the disease, according to a preliminary study by South Korea.

WMD in the news. A package containing ricin, a proteinaceous biological toxin, was addressed to President Trump was intercepted by law enforcement earlier this week. Ricin was popularized in the fictional TV series Breaking Bad.

Ricin is a highly toxic compound extracted from castor beans that has been used in terror plots. It can be used in powder, pellet, mist or acid form. If ingested, it causes nausea, vomiting and internal bleeding of the stomach and intestines, followed by failure of the liver, spleen and kidneys, and death by collapse of the circulatory system.

A package containing the poison ricin and addressed to President Donald Trump was intercepted by law enforcement earlier this week, according to two law enforcement officials.

SHOCKING - New CDC report says only 6% of COVID deaths cited COVID alone. Remaining deaths involved an average of 2.6 additional conditions (comorbidities) or causes per death.

The CDC listed influenza and pneumonia, respiratory failure, hypertensive disease, diabetes, vascular and unspecified dementia, cardiac arrest, heart failure, renal failure, intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events, as well as other medical conditions as some of the leading underlying medical conditions related to coronavirus deaths.

Tabulated data on provisional COVID-19 deaths by age, s*x, race and Hispanic origin, and comorbidities. Also includes an index of state-level and county-level mortality data available for download.
