Site Resources, Who are we and What we do:
Workforce Development: Workforce Development provides advice and assistance in identifying, prioritizing, and justifying training as well as employee development requirements. Workforce Development monitors training to ensure it meets all governing regulations and when selecting non-government training, ensures costs are reasonable, competitive and within budgetary guidelines. Civilian Workforce Development features distinct leadership programs that cultivate agile, empowered leaders.
Education Services: Education Services is the central hub for promoting and facilitating voluntary education programs, providing professional guidance, testing services, and tuition assistance to support Airmen and Guardians in achieving their academic and career goals. We support force development by advising on Community College of the Air Force and Civilian degree pursuit, Commissioning programs, SkillBridge, Base/Ancillary and Formal Training programs and Military Testing.
Training Development: Training Development creates, promotes, and fosters individual and organizational effectiveness by developing and offering an array of innovative and diverse programs in support of the 88 Air Base Wing’s commitment to employee development, partnerships, and organizational enrichment. This section delivers no-cost, instructor-led courses—equipping personnel with mission-critical skills.
Airman Leadership School: The Airman Leadership School (ALS) is 192 hours (24 academic days) of guided discussion classroom methodology and experiential exercises. The course is designed to meet specific objectives associated to each of the three course learning outcomes. The course objectives are addressed in the following sections: Leadership Skills, Supervisory Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Communication Skills, and Military Studies. WPAFB ALS develops junior enlisted Airmen into frontline supervisors by instilling foundational leadership, communication, and warfighting competencies preparing future NCOs to lead with character, enforce standards, and support mission readiness.
Professional Development Center: The Professional Development Center provides Team Wright-Patt with comprehensive professional enhancement and development opportunities. Through information and training provided by Development Advisors (DA), Air Force members are guided in making the best possible career choices. Through targeted workshops, briefings, and one-on-one mentorship, the advisor equips personnel with tools to excel in leadership roles and navigate career opportunities across the Air Force continuum.
