Thank you to everyone who joined us for Turning Priorities into Progress on September 30!

Community members, families, and district staff came together at Ryan Middle School for an evening of thoughtful conversations about our schools and the four pillars of our 2025–2030 Strategic Plan.
Through small-group discussions, participants shared their experiences, explored possibilities, and identified ideas for moving our priorities forward.

We appreciate everyone who took the time to participate, share their perspectives, and listen to others. The ideas and insights gathered throughout the evening will help inform our work as we continue putting our strategic priorities into action.

Thank you for being part of the conversation!

Learning happens every day in our schools. 📚✨

In the questions students ask, the ideas they explore, the challenges they work through, and the moments when understanding starts to take shape.

Each small moment builds on the one before it. And over time, those moments add up to growth.

That’s the power of learning—one day, one moment, one student at a time. 🌟

Lathrop students have spoken… 🎤

We hit the halls with one very important question: “Who’s your favorite teacher at Lathrop and why?”

Their answers gave us a pretty good look at some of the teachers who make Lathrop special. 💜🌟

Great educators never stop learning.

Mentorship. Collaboration. Professional development. Learning from colleagues. Asking questions and reflecting on what students need.

Investing in our people includes creating opportunities for educators to continue learning and developing their skills throughout their careers.

When our educators have opportunities to learn, grow and collaborate with one another, they’re better equipped to help every student thrive.

There’s more than one pathway to becoming a teacher.

Traditional preparation programs. Second careers. Alternative certification. Teacher apprenticeships.

Through the registered teacher apprenticeship program, district employees can work toward becoming certified teachers while continuing to work - creating an “earn while you learn” pathway for people who already know our students, schools and community.

By creating pathways for our employees to grow, we’re investing in the people who serve our students every day.
