Fair Lawn Rescue Squad

Fair Lawn Rescue Squad Rescue is a volunteer organization dedicated to serving the borough of Fair Lawn and surrounding communities. Welcome to the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad’s website.

The squad’s mission statement says that we are “a volunteer organization created for the purpose of preserving life and property through the provision of emergency and non-emergency rescue service in the Borough of Fair Lawn.” The Rescue Squad is a division of the Fair Lawn Office of Emergency Management (OEM), which is a municipal office of the Borough of Fair Lawn. This website has been develope

d to educate you about the services that we provide, articles of both past and present events, and provide informative information about the Rescue Squad. The Rescue Squad operates out of one building that is owned and maintained by the Rescue Squad Association. Each year our fund drive committee distributes two mailings seeking donations. The donations are used to maintain our building, complete projects, support our youth squad, provide financial assistance to a graduating senior through our scholarship program, and to maintain the day to day operations of the rescue squad.

At 10:45 this morning, Rescue 2 was dispatched to the area of Route 208 South and Virginia Drive for a reported overturned vehicle with entrapment.

Fortunately, all occupants were able to self-extricate prior to the arrival of Rescue 2. Our members assisted at the scene before returning to service.

The Borough of Fair Lawn has approved the purchase of a new Rescue 2 (892), which is currently being built by PL Custom Emergency Vehicles in Manasquan, New Jersey.

The Rescue 2 truck committee has received and reviewed the preliminary drawings for the new apparatus. Construction is moving forward, with the cab and chassis now on the production line and ready for assembly.

The new Rescue 2 is expected to be completed and delivered in early 2028

Our hearts go out to the members of Engine 3 and the entire Fair Lawn Fire Department during this incredibly difficult time. Having lost two members within a single week, the department has suffered an unimaginable loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mullens family, the Drake family, the members of Company 3, and the entire Fair Lawn Fire Department. May they find strength, comfort, and support in one another

Each year, Rescue proudly honors the fallen men and women of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We remember and pay tribute to the 47 Fair Lawn residents who gave their lives so that we may continue to live free. Thank you to all who have served and sacrificed for our nation.
