Uwchlan Ambulance Corps (UAC) was founded in 1974 by an all-volunteer group as a not-for-profit corporation. The Corps was established using funds donated from the residential and commercial community coupled with efforts of the volunteers. The Corps’ service area covers all or parts of eight townships and part of the PA Turnpike. The Corps has grown from one ambulance handling 159 emergency calls

in 1975 to six ambulances and three responder units with 90 volunteer and career staff responding to over 4,600 emergency calls annually. We have grown to meet the needs of not only our communities but other areas as well. We strongly believe that your ambulance should be part of the community. Our equipment and staff can be seen at over 80 annual events throughout the area. Uwchlan Ambulance offers many different training opportunities. We are an approved American Heart Association training site, American Red Cross Training Site, ASHI Training Site, Pennsylvania Department of Health Continuing Education Site, and a Chester County EMS Continuing Education Site. We welcome the opportunity to assist community organizations such as local and neighboring fire companies, scouts and schools. Junior Medic day camps were established in 2004 and have trained over 500 young people in First Aid and CPR.

We are pleased to announce that Little Conestoga Road is now open to traffic.

Residents and motorists should be aware that temporary single-lane closures will occur during the week of June 22 as crews complete additional repairs and finishing work. Flaggers will be on-site to safely direct traffic through the work zone.

Rt 100 MVA with Entrapment

Wednesday evening UAC was dispatched with Lionville FC for an MVA with entrapment at Rt 100 and Gordan Dr. Crews arrived to find several vehicles in the intersection and confirmed one driver trapped. Additional EMS units were requested to the scene, bringing MICUs from Good Fellowship and Minquas. Fire crews worked quickly to extricate the driver and all patients were transported to a local trauma center. Thank you to our mutual aid agencies for their assistance and wishes for a speedy recovery to the victims.
