Smith Island Fishing Tournament

Smith Island Fishing Tournament CHESAPEAKE BAY WIDE TOURNAMENT! Founded in 2022, we celebrate the culture of this iconic island.

03/11/2026

After 4 straight successful years, the 5th Smith Island Fishing Tournament (SIFT) will be held next year, in 2027, the weekend before Memorial Day Weekend, May 21, 22, and 23.

Why not this year? Glad you asked! The organizers this year have multiple work conflicts, and we need all hands on deck to make it enjoyable for you. So, this year work got in the way, but we will use the time to make the 5th one (SIFT V) the best one ever!

Apologies for any disappointment...we are too, but we are also energized to make SIFT V 2027 your favorite tournament ever. Hey, absence makes the heart grow fonder!

What we will never accept is doing a poor job for you. Only the best for our fellow fish heads!

Most important, we thank all of you who have supported the tournament, and hope you'll come back in '27 with fishing ferocity! Tell your friends and family! SIFT V in '27!

Again, thanks for your support, and hopefully see you out on the water.

Best regards,
The SIFT Management Team
Mark your calendars: SIFT V, May 21, 22, and 23

Look at these kids having a great time last evening. Team Neighborhood boys had some nice catches (after 7:00pm 😔). They had a great teacher in Caleb Evans. One of our hardworking directors.
