Their investment helps us continue providing safe shelter, education, and essential services while strengthening the communities we serve across Hawaiʻi.
Plus Power's Kapolei Energy Storage facility is helping power a more sustainable future by strengthening Oʻahu's electric grid, storing renewable energy, and supporting Hawaiʻi's goal of achieving 100% renewable electricity by 2045. It was one of several projects procured to replace the capacity of Hawaii’s last coal plant, helping to prevent an estimated 1.5 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
