Municipal Animal Services Municipal Animal Services provides animal services to the cities of Everman, Forest Hill, Edgecliff Village, & Kennedale.

We are a municipal shelter that balances lifesaving efforts with the responsibility to protect public safety and animal welfare. MAS Officers are available for animal control services Monday - Sunday, 8am - 5pm except major holidays. Animal Control Officers are available for emergencies only after 5pm. Emergencies consist of: Loose livestock, animals that have bitten a person, wildlife that has b

itten a person or is loose in their home, aggressive or threatening animals, and injured animals. All other after hours calls will be dispatched the following business day. All animals being held at the Municipal Animal Services shelter may be viewed on our website: https://municipalanimalservices.net/

We had a great day at Walmart with CUDDLY today! Butterfly was ADOPTED and the pups got some cuddle (pun intended) time! Baxter was enjoying ALL the snuggles.

EXCUSE US, BUT WHY IS PAPERWEIGHT STILL HERE?! 💗🤠

We’re genuinely confused.

Paperweight is the BEST girl. She’s well-behaved. She’s house trained. She’s dog friendly. She’s mellow. She loves snacks. She loves belly rubs. She is basically a squishy potato with legs.

And yet... SHE IS STILL HERE.

Look at that face. That head tilt. Those little speckled lips. 🥹 Paperweight has been patiently waiting for somebody to realize that the dog they’ve been looking for has been sitting right here at Municipal Animal Services this whole time.

She doesn’t need to learn how to be a good girl.

She already IS one.

So during our very pink, very sparkly Dolly Month, we have just one question:

💛 BAXTER IS STILL WAITING FOR HIS PERSON! 💛

Somehow, this handsome boy is still waiting for the perfect home — and we think it’s about time somebody noticed him. 🥹🐾

Baxter has been hanging out with us, patiently waiting for the person who looks at that sweet face and says, “Yep. That’s my dog.” And since we’re celebrating Dolly Parton Month, we figured we’d dress him in a little Dolly-approved color. ✨

💛 Dolly Fun Fact: Yellow was one of Dolly’s favorite colors because she said “Yellow makes me happy.”

We have to agree — although we think Baxter would be even happier wearing his yellow bandana on the couch in his new home. 😉

We’re celebrating Dolly Parton all month long with a little extra sparkle, a whole lotta dogs, and plenty of fun — and we're bringing Doggy Parton to Bark in the Park!

Meet Applejack 🍎🐾

Applejack is about 7 months old, a medium-sized Shepherd mix, and he's all ears!

This handsome youngster is lovable, silly, sweet, and still figuring out how this whole “being a dog” thing works. He’s got the basics down — be adorable, make people laugh, accept affection — but some of the finer details are still a work in progress.

Applejack is at that perfect age where he's ready to learn. With a family willing to give him a little guidance, consistency, and plenty of love, we think he's going to grow into an excellent family dog.

And since it's Dolly Parton Month, we gave him a little extra sparkle for his photo shoot. ✨ He may not know 9 to 5, but he's fully prepared to work approximately 9 to 9:07 before requesting snacks and a nap.

Meet Joshua 🤠💗

Well, butter my biscuit and pass the rhinestones — Joshua is ready for Dolly Parton Month! ✨

Joshua is an approximately 2-year-old, 13-pound Terrier mix who may not throw himself into the arms of a stranger on the first date. He likes to take a minute, read the room, and make sure you're worthy of his affection.

But once Joshua decides you're good people? Oh, honey. You're IN. 💕

This sweet little guy turns into an absolute cuddle bug once he feels comfortable. He's affectionate, loving, and perfectly sized for laps, couches, and being carried around like the tiny country gentleman he clearly believes himself to be.

Joshua doesn't need someone to rush him. He just needs a person willing to give him a little patience, a little kindness, and enough time to realize he's safe.

As Dolly herself said, “If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” 🌈 And in Joshua's case, the “rain” is approximately five minutes of I'm not sure about you yet before you get to the snuggly part. 😂
