The Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse relies almost entirely on donations to continue serving our community... and the Great Fish Community Challenge is one of the biggest fundraising opportunities we have each year.

So far, you’ve helped us raise $9,105, but we have a big goal ahead of us: $25,000 in donations.

Reaching that goal would put us in position to qualify for the maximum matching funds, making your support go even further. Last year, that maximum match was more than $17,000!

Every donation big or small helps provide the equipment, training, and resources our volunteer Posse members need to support law enforcement and serve Flathead County.

The Great Fish Community Challenge is officially at the halfway point, and there’s still time to make a difference for the **Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse.

Every donation helps us continue showing up for the Flathead Valley... supporting trained volunteers who assist regional law enforcement during natural disasters, emergency situations, general patrol and community events.

Your support also helps us invest in the **next generation of law enforcement** through our Explorer/Cadet Program, giving local youth the opportunity to learn, train and explore careers in law enforcement.

What is the Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse all about? Showing up when our community needs us. 🇺🇸

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse is made up of trained volunteers who give their time to support regional law enforcement agencies and serve communities throughout the Flathead Valley.

When you donate to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse during the Great Fish Community Challenge, you’re helping support:

🚨 Trained volunteers assisting during natural disasters and emergency situations
🚓 General patrol and regional law enforcement support
🤝 Safety and support at community events
⭐ The Explorer/Cadet Program, giving local youth interested in law enforcement the opportunity to learn, train, serve and explore a future career in the field

Interested in a future in law enforcement? The Flathead County Explorers Program is a chance to get hands-on experience, build leadership skills, serve your community and learn directly from local law enforcement professionals.

Applicants must:

⭐ Be between the ages of 14 and 20
⭐ Live or attend school in Flathead County
⭐ Maintain a C average
⭐ Pass a background check

Did you know many of the people helping keep these major community events safe and running smoothly are there on a volunteer basis? The Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse certainly is!

Our members and Explorers served an incredible 837 volunteer hours between two events:

⭐ 714 hours at Under the Big Sky Festival
⭐ 105 Posse hours at The Event at Rebecca Farm
⭐ 18 Explorer hours at The Event at Rebecca Farm

That’s 837 hours of showing up, stepping in and serving our Flathead County community. 💛💙

A couple of weeks ago, we had the honor of officially welcoming 6 new members to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Posse during their swearing-in ceremony. 💙

Joining the Posse means making a commitment to serve, support, and show up for the people of Flathead County when needed, and we’re proud to have 6 more people step up to do exactly that.

Help us give a big Flathead Valley welcome to our 6 newest Posse members! 👏
