ATHLEISURE COLLECTIVE SIGNS LEASE AT PORT OF EVERETT’S WATERFRONT PLACE, BRINGING NEW FITNESS AND LIFESTYLE BUSINESS TO MARINA VILLAGE
ATHLEISURE COLLECTIVE has inked a deal to bring a new wave of wellness to the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place, marking the company’s first expansion and second location in Snohomish County.
On Sept. 10, the Port of Everett Commission authorized a new 10-year lease for approximately 4,000-square-feet of interior space and surrounding patio in Marina Village. The location is situated along the South Marina promenade between Anthony’s Homeport and Woodfire, and is expected to include three group fitness studios, a health focused café and retail offerings.
The Port of Everett waterfront will be ATHLEISURE COLLECTIVE’s second location in Snohomish County. The new location will expand the company’s offerings and bring its community-focused approach to fitness and wellness to the Port’s growing Waterfront Place community.
Founder & CEO Briana Bowers started ATHLEISURE COLLECTIVE (AC) in 2017 and opened its first brick-and-mortar location in 2024 in Arlington, Wash. AC brings together movement, wellness, apparel, food, and community under one roof. Its new Everett location will offer the same core services to its members to meet their growing demand, offering group fitness (mindful movement) classes for all abilities, such as reformer Pilates, strength, cycle, yoga, mat Pilates, dance sculpt, barre, HIIT, Build & Bond for parents and kids, step, fusion classes, and more.
Other services include 1:1 coaching, infrared sauna and recovery, on demand recorded, live, and written classes, community events and experiences.
AC’s Everett location will also bring its health-conscious café and boutique retail shop to the public, as well as its members. The café will serve quick grab food, smoothies, coffee and other dairy-, egg-, soy- and gluten-free options. The boutique will feature athleisure apparel and locally made products.
Bowers and her partner, TJ Scrupps, are excited to bring the same energy they have cultivated through ATHLEISURE COLLECTIVE in north Snohomish County to the Everett waterfront, which is a place that has been special to both of their families for decades. Together, Bowers and Scrupps lead AC and share deep roots in Everett, where more than four generations of their families have called the community home. Their family history includes longshoremen and members of Everett’s commercial fishing industry — work that remains visible today at the Port’s commercial fishing dock along Seiner Wharf at Fisherman’s Harbor.
“We love spending time here, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to become part of this beautiful, growing destination at the Everett Waterfront,” Bowers said. “Our mission is to add positivity to the world, and we believe opening ATHLEISURE COLLECTIVE at the Everett Waterfront is our next step in that mission.”
AC is the start of a new wave of retail activation at Waterfront Place. After successfully building out the dining experiences in Fisherman’s Harbor along Restaurant Row, with six new restaurants having opened in the past year, the Port is now focused on bringing lifestyle retail the community has been seeking to Waterfront Place, from shops and grocery to fitness and wellness opportunities.
“We're excited to see what you bring to the community,” Port of Everett CEO/Executive Director Lisa Lefeber said during the Port Commission meeting. “We've been wanting something athletic and fitness for a very long time, and so this is the best of both worlds, and we’ve been trying to get a retail focus back into the South Marina. We’re very excited to have you join us.”
In the coming months, the AC team will focus on making the Everett space their own. While no opening date is set, they expect to open their doors early to mid-2027.
