Yesterday, the first greenhouse tunnel with nursery film from SunXel went up at Food Bank Farm. The Snohomish County Ag Tech program has partnered with a tech accelerator to bring new technology to farmers in the Snohomish watershed. After SunXel, a Korean company, heard about the floods we experienced in December, they wanted to help! They provided 2 free hoop house covers to our lending library for farmers to use. Using Floodplains by Design funds, the county purchased 10 additional covers. Their product is designed to regulate the temperatures inside the hoop houses. These will be used by farmers who lost hoop houses in the flooding. Learn more about how the Ag Tech program is helping farmers recover from the December flooding on KING 5

Snohomish County farms are still recovering from December floods. A free county program is helping them rebuild with new technology.
