City Hall will remain closed Monday, Sept. 14, through Thursday, Sept. 17, due to the ongoing cybersecurity incident.

We recognize this closure is an inconvenience for our residents. While crews continue working as quickly and safely as possible to restore City operations, basic municipal services will be available at the Connolly Center (90 Chelsea St.) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Tomorrow’s City Council meeting along with any other board and commission meetings will occur as scheduled.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this together.

Today, the City of Everett joined communities across the country in marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks and remembering the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day.

Everett also remembers two of its own, James and Mary Trentini, who were aboard American Airlines Flight 11 while traveling to California to visit family. Their plane was the first to be hijacked and the first to strike the World Trade Center. Today and every day, Everett honors their memory and keeps their loved ones in our thoughts.

The Everett Fire Department, Everett Police Department and City of Everett hosted a Remembrance Ceremony outside of Fire Headquarters, where Mayor Robert J. Van Campen joined community leaders and residents to honor those who were lost, their families, and the first responders whose courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Twenty-five years later, Everett continues to remember and honor all those impacted by September 11.

Celebrating Brazilian Independence in Everett! 🇧🇷

On Tuesday, the City of Everett celebrated the incredible Brazilian community here and across the globe with live performances and tasty Brazilian cuisine outside City Hall.

Following the opening ceremony, the Brazilian flag was raised in recognition of the immeasurable cultural, civic and social impact Brazilians have had on the growth and identity of Everett.

UPDATE: Due to the ongoing cybersecurity incident, Everett City Hall will remain closed to the public through Thursday, September 10.

Basic municipal services will be available at the Connolly Center (90 Chelsea St.) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, and Thursday, Sept. 10.

Services available include:
• Treasurer/Collector
• Assessor
• City Clerk
• Engineering
• Auditing
• Procurement
• Inspectional Services Department (ISD)
• Housing Assistance
• Parking

Please use the back entrance, which is handicap accessible.

Everett City Hall will be closed to the public on Tuesday, Sept. 8 as the City responds to a cybersecurity incident impacting its internal network and technology systems.

Everett Police, Fire, DPW, Everett Public Schools and Everett Public Libraries will continue to operate as normal. Online bill payments and other third-party online transactions also remain available.

The City is actively working to secure its systems and safely restore full operations. A determination regarding City Hall operations on Wednesday will be made as more information becomes available.

Everett residents 50+ are invited to participate in a MassDOT Golden Gears Program session on September 27 at the Gazebo at Rivergreen Park.

The free session includes an introduction to the local bikeshare system, a guided Bluebikes group ride, coffee and a pastry, cycling equipment, and bikeshare passes for continued use. An optional 8:00 AM refresher course is available for participants who haven’t biked in a while.
