Evansville Rescue Mission Your Evansville Rescue Mission was started back in 1917 by our co-founders, Dr. Ernest “Pappy” Reveal and his wife, Edna.

They had a vision to reach out to our Tri-State area’s hurting, forgotten, and impoverished… a heart of service we still share today.

Help us meet a critical need at the Men’s Residence Center!

We are currently collecting hygiene products and new underwear for the men we serve each day. Simple items like deodorant, razors, shower shoes, and underwear can restore dignity, provide comfort, and remind someone they are cared for.

Donations can be dropped off at our Men’s Residence Center located at 500 E Walnut St. in Evansville. Thank you for helping us serve our neighbors with compassion and hope.

In observance of Memorial Day, Mission Grounds Coffee Shop, The Thrift Store by Evansville Rescue Mission, and our Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday as we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Please note: our donation truck will still be at Living Word Christian Church in Newburgh during normal hours for donation drop-offs.

We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful holiday.

Looking for a place you can donate to locally, where your donations really do make a difference right here in our community? When you donate to (and shop at) The Thrift Store by your Evansville Rescue Mission, those proceeds feed, clothe, shelter, and provide programming for people of all ages right here, in THIS COMMUNITY, every day! The photos below indicate ways and places to donate. We truly appreciate your support!

Check this out: In our "reimagination project" at Washington Square Mall, we'll be adding two new "stores" (departments) within The Thrift Store, "Holidays" and "Kiddos!" HOLIDAYS will be a year-round holiday store celebrating all of the major (and perhaps some minor) holidays. KIDDOS! will offer kid's clothes, toys, games, maternity clothing, and so much more. We're also moving our Prayer Chapel, and we're adding an ERM Podcast Studio. All of these exciting changes...COMING LATER THIS YEAR!!!

UPDATE: We announced several months ago that we are reimagining much of our current footprint - including some great new additions - inside our soon-to-be-rejuvenated space at Washington Square Mall. Since that time, we've had to work through some design and logistical issues with a nearby group, which resulted in some unexpected delays...and an updated plan that differs from what we revealed some months back. These attached renderings illustrate what our reimagined space will look like (thanks, LA+D) - and I can report to you that ARC Construction Company is ready to begin the work...how exciting! Very soon...The Thrift Store and Mission Grounds will undergo some amazing changes...and we'll be adding some incredible new "departments" (you could ALMOST call it "The Mission Mall" when we're done with these enhancements - because our space will be almost like a "mall" within a mall)! Watch for all the excitement on South Green River Road this summer. Remember, your purchases (and your donations) help us feed, clothe, and house homeless kids, women, teens, and men right here in our city! THANK YOU!!!
