A huge thank you to the incredible group of young people who spent part of their Friday with us at Mission Grounds and later joined the men at our Men's Residence Center for an evening of worship and fellowship.

Your kindness, enthusiasm, and willingness to serve were a blessing to everyone you encountered. From sharing conversations over coffee to lifting up voices in worship, you helped create meaningful moments of connection, encouragement, and hope.

Tomorrow, our President/CEO, Tracy Gorman, celebrates his 60th birthday—and he has just one wish: to help more of our homeless neighbors find hope and a fresh start.

Every day at the Evansville Rescue Mission, men, women, and children come to us at some of the hardest moments in their lives. Through meals, shelter, compassionate care, and Christ-centered support, lives are being transformed and futures are being rebuilt.

This month, we recognize and thank our incredible team members for their dedication, compassion, and commitment to serving our community. Each year of service represents countless lives impacted and hope shared with those who need it most.

One thing that your donations to the Evansville Rescue Mission enables us to do...is to serve a LOT of meals to hungry people in our community. In fact, nobody in our area serves more! We are on track this year to serve 419,096 meals from our kitchens. This does not include the approximate 10,000 meals provided annually through our Gobbler Gathering! So, in a very real sense, when you give to your ERM, you're helping to provide close to a half million meals to people living right here in our community! Thank you for your support. Help us meet a critical need at the Men’s Residence Center!

We are currently collecting hygiene products and new underwear for the men we serve each day. Simple items like deodorant, razors, shower shoes, and underwear can restore dignity, provide comfort, and remind someone they are cared for.

Donations can be dropped off at our Men’s Residence Center located at 500 E Walnut St. in Evansville. Thank you for helping us serve our neighbors with compassion and hope.

In observance of Memorial Day, Mission Grounds Coffee Shop, The Thrift Store by Evansville Rescue Mission, and our Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday as we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Please note: our donation truck will still be at Living Word Christian Church in Newburgh during normal hours for donation drop-offs.

We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful holiday.
