United Way of Southwestern Indiana is a nonprofit organization that brings together individuals, nonprofits, businesses, partners and government to address priority issues that impact our community. We invest resources raised through our annual fundraising efforts into initiatives that are meeting people's basic needs and in programs that are addressing long-term solutions. (We believe) all children in Southwestern Indiana deserve the best start in life and we work to ensure all children enter school prepared to learn. (We believe) our economy depends on a prepared workforce and we work to ensure all Southwestern Indiana youth achieve their full potential. (We believe) every family should have the opportunity to meet their basic needs. We work to increase the financial stability of working families. (We believe) families and individuals should have access to affordable health care. We work to bridge the gaps in services for people in need of access to mental and physical health care. We can accomplish these things by investing our resources in programs that meet people’s immediate needs and programs that build on long term solutions. Only when we work together with all sectors of our community can we advance the common good and change our community for the better.

Join us for some wiffle ball fun at the 2026 Evansville Water and Sewer Utility Wiffle Ball Tournament for United Way of Southwestern Indiana!

Where: Haynie’s Corner
When: This Saturday, September 12
Start Time: Opening Ceremony at 10:00am
First Pitch: Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry will throw the first pitch at 10:30am

Cheer for City employees and community members as they compete for the big win. Will Hayes Brothers Construction keep the traveling trophy, or will a new champ rise?

Enter the Half-Pot at the United Way table, grab some cool SWAG and discover all of the amazing ways they are helping local families in need.

Don’t forget to visit the EWSU tent and give the prize wheel a spin. You might snag a Clap Fan or a water bottle while supplies last!

With plenty of tasty food options like burgers, pizza, and wings from nearby restaurants, be sure to bring your appetite, a lawn chair, and your friends.
