Hello, Pumas!! Today is Thursday, September 10th.
Happening today at the Park:
We want to say good morning and welcome to our subs in the building today!
Mark your calendars! Please support the annual LBL trip by visiting Hacienda West on Thursday, September 17. Dine in, carry out, or purchase gift cards. Tell them you are there for Helfrich Park so that every purchase can help our students. Thank you!
There will be a special speech meeting TODAY after school until four and a bus will be provided. If you cannot make the TODAY meeting please see Mrs. Jones at lunch between now and this afternoon.
Calling all 8th grade students-speech is in need of practice judges for today after school. If you are interested please email Mrs. Jones for more information.
Tug-of-War participants need to do trials all week from 7:10-7:25. The final roster will be determined next week based on participation and scores.

The office sells bottled water, earbuds, and lip balm for $1.00 each.
World’s Finest Chocolate goes on sale Monday Sept. 14th. The bars are $2 each this year.

For Lunch we are having Mandarin orange chicken or egg rolls.
Boys’ Cub Tennis is forming. Flyers are available in the office for more information!! Beginners are welcome and encouraged.
After school, we have:
6th Grade Art Club, Cross Country Practice, and Rock Band until 4PM.
Reserve and Varsity Volleyball practice until 5PM.
The 6th grade volleyball team plays McGary at Lodge at 4:30PM!

🔧⚙️ TRADES FOR TOMORROW IS COMING TO HELFRICH! 🦺🏗️

We are excited to welcome Trades for Tomorrow to Helfrich Park STEM Academy next week! They will be visiting our students during all Science classes to introduce them to the many career opportunities available right here in our local community through the skilled trades.

Students will get a first-hand look at the trades, learn about potential career pathways, and experience how the skills they are developing in school connect directly to the real world. This is an awesome opportunity to bring STEM learning to life! 🔬⚙️📐

📋 IMPORTANT FOR FAMILIES:
All students who will participate must have the attached waiver completed and signed. Please scan the QR code on the waiver to complete the required information.

We are excited for our Pumas to explore what their future could look like and discover that there are many pathways to a successful career! 💙🩶

Today for lunch we are having chicken smackers and dinner roll.

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) will be starting Wednesday, September 9th after school until 4pm in Mr. DeKempers room. This is a student led club. There’s an afterschool bus to take students home.
Rock Band club will be starting Thursday September 10th after school until 4pm in Mr. DeKempers room. There’s an afterschool bus to take students home. This club is for anyone who’s interested in learning to play guitar, piano, bass,ukulele or drum set.
After school, we have:
Our reserve and varsity volleyball team plays here at Helfrich at 4:30PM versus Washington. Go, Pumas!!
Bookmark Club, FCA, Cross Country Practice, Chess Club, and Speech Practice until 4PM.
6th Grade Volleyball Practice until 5PM.
There will be a DC/NYC Trip Meeting for our 2027 trip in the media center at 6PM. Parents, if you plan on your student attending, make sure to be at the meeting! Students, remind your parents!

Good morning, Pumas! Today is Tuesday, September 8th.
Happening today at the Park:
The Helfrich Park Cross Country team ran a great meet at Gibson Southern on Saturday. Top finishers included Owen Brown for the boys and Lily Crawford for the girls. Our next meet is today at Thompkins at 4pm. Great job runners!
