One of Evansville's best kept secrets is DiLegge's. This family owned restaurant specializes in authentic Italian style food. They have a great lunch menu, but the dinner experience is where you can really enjoy all this place has to offer. DiLegge's offers a dimly lit and intimate experience that is very romantic. The service is second to none. We recommend getting your reservations for the bar dining area. You will be served by a knowledgeable bartender and wait staff. You can't go wrong on the menu. It's all good. Located at 607 N. Main St you will make this a regular stop on your Evansville dining list.

If you like hole in the wall breakfast spots then you will love Rosie's Diner located on Evansville's west side at 1423 W Maryland St. Great food and great service. Don't let the outside fool you. The food inside is deeelish. It's like you are eating in grandma's kitchen. So if you are looking for great breakfast and reasonable prices then give Rosie's a try. We had 2 pancakes, hash browns and an order of bacon for under $10 including drinks.

The House of Como offers a unique dining experience. This place is the total gaze and graze. You would never know from the outside looking in that the House of Como is where the who's who of Evansville and the Tri State come to dine. It's tastefully tacky decor and people watching only add to this dining experience. The food is second to non. If you're looking for a great steak then look no further. Our must have to accompany this ala carte menu is the house salad. Served family style this Greek style salad comes with a warm flat bread that is to die for. The House of Come gets four stars from us. Located at 2700 S. Kentucky Ave on Evansville's south side is a great hidden gem of the Tri State.

P.S. Bring plenty of cash. They don't except credit cards. Just another thing that adds to this unique dining experience. A great date night place. Be sure to call ahead for reservations.

If your looking for a romantic dinner spot then Cavanaghs is our recommendation. Located in Casino Aztar downtown it offers a spectacular view of the Ohio River and surrounding area. The food is outstanding with an A La Carte menu. It's a little on the pricey side, but the food, atmosphere and views are well worth it. Service is very good with a great wine list and full bar.

A hidden gem on Evansville's West Side on historic Franklin St. Sportsman's Grille & Billiards offers a great lunch menu featuring daily specials. The atmosphere is old world. Nothing fancy here. Just some cold drinks and some GREAT food. Not a huge menu, but we recommend the grilled chicken sandwich. Everything is freshly prepared. The service is ok. Usually only a bartender or two, but they are very good. Located at 2315 W Franklin St.

Fantastic restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The Pie Pan located at 905 North Park Dr on Evansville's north side. Everything is fresh and homemade. They offer daily specials and the pies are made fresh daily. Very reasonably priced and excellent service. If you like Cracker Barrel then you will love this place. Great little hometown spot and 2 thumbs up from us at A Taste of Evansville

If your looking for a nice lunch downtown then try Milanos Italian Cuisine. Located at 500 Main Street. They have a very nice menu and a large buffet with salad bar. Milanos has a nice wine selection also. Family owned and operated located about 1 block from the Ford Center. $6 got us a large slice of pizza, salad, garlic roll and drink. The atmosphere is nice and quiet and the outdoor dining area is great to gaze and graze.
