*Commencement Update*
We have been monitoring the weather closely and have consulted with local meteorologists. In order to have as many people attend as possible we are moving ahead with an outdoor commencement this evening in The Bowl.

We are expecting some light rain at the beginning of the ceremony, so please be prepared for the weather.

Gates will open at 4 PM and the ceremony will start at 5 PM.

Today, the Reitz Varsity Scholarship Club - R-Men came to Reitz to recognize some of our outstanding student-athletes. These students were presented with the Wayne Weller Memorial Award.

Varsity athletes are responsible for selecting the winners of these awards. The qualifications include scholarship, team leadership, athletic ability, teamwork, cooperation and desire to excel.

We are one week away from the start of our senior events!! Here is a little information about some of the events we have planned.

Monday, May 18
After seniors take their final exam, they will do the Grad Walk at all of our feeder schools. This is a Reitz tradition that is one-of-a-kind! It's great to see all of the future Panthers as we make our way around the Westside!

Senior Scholarship Night is by invitation only. It is a night when our various community partners, donors, and post-secondary institutions come to Reitz to award scholarships to our graduates. If a student receives an invitation, they should plan to attend.

Tuesday, May 19
Class Day is a ceremony to celebrate the entire Class of 2026. Students will receive various departmental awards and be recognized for their participation in programs during their high school career. There will be a high school recap speech from two of our outstanding seniors and we will watch the senior slideshow!

Wednesday, May 20
Graduation Day! 5:00pm in The Bowl!

Additional information will be sent to senior families soon!

Each spring semester, the Director of the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus hand picks a handful of high school students in our area to rehearse and perform with the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus through the Philharmonic’s “Building Our Future” initiative.

Please congratulate these eight outstanding young musicians from Reitz High School who were chosen to be a part of this special occasion this semester!

On Tuesday, a team from Reitz competed in the Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana Social Innovation Challenge. These outstanding students won the regional competition and will be on their way to Boston this summer to compete at the national level! We are so proud of these Panthers!
