A community with less poverty and stronger families...it would make a difference, wouldn't it? of people move toward their potential and we've also helped thousands of people make an impact through volunteering and funding the work. What an incredible day with some of the best volunteers we could ask for! United Way of Southwestern Indiana Day of Caring has meant a lot to our team, as we have been able to get helpers across the ECLC and ECHC and give our buildings the TLC they've been needing.

Same heart. Different era.

Forty years ago, ECLC opened its doors and quickly our mission was clear: care for mothers and families who needed somewhere to turn. The tools have changed. A safe place to stay grew into a full circle of support: the Health Clinic, Family Care Services, Financial Potential, GAIN.

But the heart behind it? Still the same one that started this 40 years ago.

Choosing life is only the beginning of the story.
We believe caring for a mother means walking alongside her beyond that decision , through pregnancy, parenthood, unexpected challenges, and the work of building a stable future for her family.
Because caring for the whole person isn't a one-time promise. It's a commitment to keep showing up.
Forty years ago, that commitment became part of ECLC's DNA. Today, we're still passing it on to every mother, father, and family who walks through our doors.

This year marks 40 years of Evansville Christian Life Center serving this community.

We talked to the people who were here at the beginning, and every conversation proved the same thing: serving mothers has always been part of our DNA. Scared mothers. New mothers. Mothers considering adoption. Mothers who just needed someone to listen. That hasn't changed.

It started with a safe place to live during a vulnerable season. Today, through our Health Clinic, that support includes ultrasounds, personalized parenting plans, diapers and formula, a trained advocate, and resources to help build lasting stability.

We believe if we're going to ask someone to choose life, we have a responsibility to care for them beyond that decision. That's the DNA poured into ECLC 40 years ago, and it's what we pass on today.

As we look toward the next 40 years, will you join us with a gift that keeps this work going for the families who need us now?

📢 Labor Day Closure Notice

The Evansville Christian Health Clinic will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

ECLC will also be closed as it typically is on Mondays. All regular operations and services will resume on Tuesday, September 8.

Join us for an Open House as we look back on four decades of restoring people from need to potential, and share what's ahead, including a new video from .media, a special proclamation from the Deputy Mayor, and free snacks and drinks.
