We had a great visit to the EVSC Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center's new cosmetology program with our school board members. It was so exciting to see these students in their new space. Also, we were so proud to see students in action and enjoy a delicious lunch at The Lunch Box, our culinary arts restaurant.

Information for Monday, September 21st: Town hall meetings are held prior to regularly scheduled school board meetings at the EVSC Administration Building from 5:00 p.m. to 5:25 p.m. Elected trustees will be present to have conversations with any interested individual who has completed and submitted a registration form. This project will give ASM a dedicated space of its own, nearly double capacity for students, and add state-of-the-art labs, flexible classrooms, a college-style lecture hall, and more.

So proud of Mrs. Kluesner for this special recognition! We are grateful for all of the school counselors who support our students in every school!

Our very own Mrs. Kluesner was recognized by the Indiana School Counselor Association for her outstanding efforts with the Trailblazer award. The ISCA recognizes new school counselors who make a significant, positive impact on their students, school communities, and educational environment within their first five years. Mustangs are so lucky to work with you, Mrs. K!!

Major thanks to all of the crossing guards who keep our students safe walking to school in the morning and walking back home after school. We appreciate them so much!

Girls flag football is in its first season at EVSC, and all five of our high schools put a team on the field this fall.

The crowd noise and energy made it pretty clear this sport is going to stick around.

Indiana had 8 girls flag football teams in 2023. This fall it has 108, and Bosse, Central, Harrison, North and Reitz are all on that list.

Very proud of this special recognition for Benjamin Bosse High School Principal Aaron Huff!

We're proud to recognize Mr. Aaron D. Huff, Principal of Benjamin Bosse High School in Evansville, as a recipient of the 2026 Administrators of Color Conference Distinguished Administrator Award.

Throughout his career, Mr. Huff has served students in many roles, from after-school coordinator and school counselor to high school dean, junior high principal, and, since 2018, principal of Benjamin Bosse High School.

At Bosse, his leadership has focused on creating opportunities for students, including developing innovative public-private partnerships that connect education with future career pathways. His commitment to educational leadership has also extended nationally through his service as president of the association representing secondary school principals.

Mr. Huff’s career demonstrates that great administrators do more than lead schools; they create opportunities for the students and adults they serve.

Seven EVSC students are beginning a two-year paid apprenticeship with Old National Bank , gaining hands-on experience in banking while completing high school.

In this video, two members of the inaugural cohort share what it means to learn alongside banking professionals, build real-world experience, and begin preparing for what comes next.

Indiana’s first banking youth apprenticeship is creating a new career-connected pathway for EVSC students.
