John M. Evans Hall Join us in the revival of a historic Masonic Hall in Evansville, WI. Once vacant, the Hall now bustles with activity. And it has a bunch of them!

Three businesses are now located at JME Hall: Evansville Community Theatre, Emma's Table (event center), and Shannon Law Office. Our Mission:

We intend to bring the old Hall at 104 West Main back to its former glory. The more we have heard from folks that grew up in Evansville, the more our mission has been clarified. Whether it be Doctor Evans' historical influence, the influence of his son and

family, the masonic and eastern star groups, a second grade class, a gym class, a dance, a Sunday school class, or a drafty wedding reception... the building has been alive with activity. The brick, mortar, and wood found in the old Hall form a lasting frame around a site that has played a substantial role in the spirit and fabric of our wonderful hometown. Here is how we have discussed it after too much coffee:

One could measure the Hall's immense size by carefully counting the bricks it is made of - one by one. For us ... the brick by brick measurement could more appropriately be done where each brick represents an act that has occurred in heart of the old Hall. Each such act then moving on to touch so many local lives in a positive way. This, in our view, is the truest measure of the old Hall. The Hall’s rich history compels us to move on the project and to accomplish it. This site is our attempt to share our progress.

New shed at the Hall. The only storage has been in the basement, now replacement items such as shingles, bricks and other odds and ends will have a nice storage area. Thanks again Scott Brummond for building it to the specifications set by the historical folks.

Excellent News!

We have some exciting news! We will be opening an office again on Main Street very soon!

We are going to be located in the lower level of the historic Grange Store Building. We look forward to having regular office hours and a downtown presence to connect with the community and businesses!
