Community Action Program of Evansville and Vanderburgh County, Inc (CAPE) CAPE is located inside the Welborn Plaza Building. We have our own entrance that faces Cherry Street.

CAPE is a private non-profit dedicated to promoting self-sufficiency and improving quality of life for low-income individuals and families in Southwest Indiana. Look for Red Doors up in the corner of the building along the silver railing. Once you enter the Red doors, take the elevator to the lower level and check in with the receptionist. All services are provided without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, disability, national origin, ancestry, or status as a veteran. Reminder: the Deaconess Mobile Mammogram unit will be conducting "Mammograms on the Go", on Monday, September 14, 2026. In addition to mammograms, blood pressure screenings as well as heart health and other health and wellness information will be provided to anyone who would like to get their blood pressure checked. All women who receive a mammogram will also receive a free gift. Walk-ins welcomed.
