The 2027 Hoosier Nationals will hold special significance for Burdette Park BMX as the track celebrates its 50th anniversary. Established in 1977, Burdette Park BMX is one of the oldest BMX tracks in the country and has evolved significantly throughout its history.

Excited to have this at Burdette for next year’s season. Thank you for inviting me to this big announcement.

Love this community service opportunity. I have always called when we are going to be away for an extended length of time.

We always come back with a note on our door saying they patrolled. It’s easy: Put your address in and press search. You get the name of the deputy assigned to your area. 💛 this!

In addition to their regular responsibilities, our neighborhood patrol deputies are eager to assist with extra patrols and vacation checks while you’re away.

Sheriff Noah Robinson shared, “Neighborhood-based policing aims not to discourage residents from calling 911, but to provide an additional method of communication with our office regarding non-urgent matters. Ultimately, we hope that deputies will develop a sense of ownership over their assigned neighborhoods and take pride in the relationships built as a result.”

🚗Constituents: One of the committees I sit on is for the Vanderburgh Metropolitan Planning Organization. I was asked to help with a feasibility study that will better our transportation for those who use our public transportation between the County and the City. So this does not matter where you live within our County borders.

🚕Would you please share with me your ideas so I can carry them forward to the committee?

🚙Just a note: This is a bipartisan committee and is this does not in this study deal with State roads, potholes or etc. The organization is a long running group of which I proudly serve as the County Council representative.

So proud of this program that has been a huge success for our Vanderburgh Co community.

Litter Patrol continued making a positive impact throughout June. Although unpredictable weather resulted in fewer patrols, the team still made meaningful progress across several areas of the county.

One encouraging trend is that the number of trash bags collected in many locations continues to decrease as these areas become part of the regular cleanup routine.

As temperatures rise, participants continue to encounter snakes in overgrown areas during cleanup efforts. The donated grabbers from our friend Susan have been incredibly helpful, allowing participants to safely collect litter without reaching into tall grass, brush, or other areas where snakes may be hiding. We greatly appreciate her continued support of the program.

Areas Covered:
• Work Release, Harlan Ave., and St. George Rd. corridors
• Diamond Ave., Stringtown Rd., Fares Ave., and St. Joe Ave. corridors
• Hwy 41, Green River Rd., Lynch Rd., and Yokel Rd. areas
• North Kentucky Ave. and Diamond Ave. to the dead end
• Covert Ave. east of Hwy 41
• Maryland St. to the dump corridor

Totals:
• Participants: 78
• Total bags collected: 143

Recycling Total: $142.33

Metal Recycled: 1,123 pounds

Trash Removed: 2.52 tons
