Recently, a tip submitted through the arson tip program led to an arrest and a reward being issued. While we are not releasing any details about the fire, the individual involved or the reward amount, it serves as an important reminder:

Information from the public makes a difference.
When you report what you know, you help hold those responsible accountable and help keep our community safe.

If you have information about a suspicious fire or possible arson, you can report it anonymously. Up to $5,000 may be awarded for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for an arson fire.

Heads up to west side residents that use Broadway as an alternative route since the Lloyd is under construction.

Bridge Replacement: Broadway Avenue will be closed to all traffic between Posey County Line Road (“County Rd 1200 E”) and Old Mt. Vernon Road.

Closure Date: April 6th — August 7th

The existing bridge was built in the 1930’s, and its replacement is being funded through INDOT’s Community Crossings Matching Grant program. This grant pays 50% of the construction costs.
