Recovery efforts following the recent cybersecurity incident are ongoing at ETHS. Access to district systems remains limited, and phone lines remain unavailable. We know this has required patience and flexibility from our entire school community, and we are grateful for your continued support.

We also want to recognize our incredible student workers in the ChromeZone, whose assistance has been greatly appreciated as they support our IIT Department’s response. The ACT exam originally scheduled for Saturday, June 13, at ETHS has been relocated due to the ongoing cybersecurity incident affecting district systems. Testing will now take place at Lane Tech High School in Chicago. For questions, please contact ACT Student Support Services at (319)337-1270.

ETHS campus is reopening today for scheduled Summer School, sports camps, and other approved on-campus activities. Access to campus is limited to students participating in these scheduled activities and authorized staff.

A ransomware attack has disrupted access to district systems, internet services, and computer infrastructure. Due to this incident, ETHS will be closed on Monday, June 8 and Tuesday, June 9, 2026. All Summer School classes, sports camps, and other on-campus activities scheduled during this time are canceled. We will provide further updates regarding the schedule for the remainder of the week.
