🚨 EVENT CANCELATION: 5th Annual Public Safety & Preparedness Fair 🚨Saturday May 2nd.

Unfortunately, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 5th Annual Public Safety and Preparedness Fair. The rain in the park this week and what is projected over the southeast this weekend would create a logistical nightmare for our patrons and participants.

Moreover, the predicted weather forecast carries with it temperatures in the mid-50s and steady rain the entire time of the fair.

A big thank you to everyone who had it in their plans to take part in our event. Whether a vendor, a partner, a patron or those of us who just love discussing the world of preparedness and riding fair rides, our apologies for a difficult decision.

We look forward to bringing the fair back in 2027!!!

The Columbia County Public Safety and Preparedness Fair is a great opportunity to meet the people who ensure safety and emergency preparations for the people of Columbia County, and it's also a lot of fun!

The Amateur Radio Club of Columbia County, Columbia County ARES, and CSRA Meshtastic will be located in the Red Maple Pavilion. We will have displays and share information about Amateur Radio and Meshtastic for emergency communication. Please come to the fair, and stop by our booth!

The Rock For Dough event at the Lady A Amphitheater this afternoon and evening will cause significant traffic and pedestrian congestion, and will impact availability of parking in the Evans Town Center area.

Due to this, the ARCCC Board of Directors made the difficult decision to cancel the April meeting. We look forward to seeing everyone again in May.

A very special Thank You to all of the Volunteer Examiners who make these test sessions possible.

We appreciate each and every one of the Volunteer Examiners who take time out of one Saturday morning a month to help folks become licensed amateur radio operators. It’s folks like this that make amateur radio such a wonderful hobby!

What a wonderful group of committed individuals who help increase awareness and help add new amateur radio operators to the Amateur Radio hobby!
