Extended Temporary Lane Closures on William Few Parkway at Chastain Drive

Columbia County, in cooperation with Summit Construction and Development wishes to inform the driving public of an extended intermittent temporary lane closure on William Few Parkway at its intersection with Chastain Drive. Due to road construction activities, the lane closure will be from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, starting on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and has been extended to Saturday, June 27, 2026, weather permitting.

Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe.

🚗Please refer to the map below before your visit to Building A 🅿️♿️

As construction continues on the new parking lot at Buildings A and B, parking availability near Building A remains limited. To help visitors access the building, we have highlighted the two available ADA-compliant parking spaces and the recommended walking path to the entrance on the map below.

We anticipate the new parking lot opening in the coming months, which will provide additional parking and multiple ADA-compliant spaces with improved access to all government complex buildings.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to enhance accessibility and parking accommodations for our residents and visitors. Thank you for your cooperation during this temporary transition.

Snacks & Facts: After the Hurricane - A Grant-Funded Creek Clean Up

Come have a snack and learn some facts about the creek clean up that took place after Hurricane Helene. Join us as we discuss the grant process with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). We will be discussing the project scope and the positive impact it has had on our local waterways!
