Today, the Pamelia Fire Department would like to wish all of the incredible mothers out there a very Happy Mother’s Day.

Thank you for the love, strength, guidance, and sacrifices you make each and every day for your families and communities. Mothers are the heart of so many homes, and today we celebrate everything you do.

We would also like to give a special thank you to the mothers who raised the rare breed of men and women who chose the fire service. The courage, compassion, selflessness, and dedication that firefighters carry with them every day often begin with the values taught at home by amazing mothers.

Your communities are forever grateful for the heroes you helped shape, and we are thankful for the support and love you continue to provide behind the scenes.

From all of us at the Pamelia Fire Department, we hope you have a beautiful day filled with love, appreciation, and family. Happy Mother’s Day!

Today, we are incredibly proud of our membership alongside our neighboring agencies for their unwavering dedication and commitment to the communities we all proudly serve.

Last night several members were honored with a CPR Save Bar in recognition of their extraordinary efforts during a critical call — efforts that helped give someone the greatest gift possible: more time with their family and loved ones. While these outcomes can often be rare in our line of work, they are deeply humbling reminders of why we answer the call every single day.

Moments like these show that no matter the name written on the side of our apparatus, we are all one team with the same mission — to protect, serve, and do everything within our power for those in need. The teamwork, training, professionalism, and compassion displayed that day reflect the very best of the fire and EMS service.

We are honored to stand beside such dedicated individuals and proud to recognize the impact they continue to make in our communities each and every day. Congratulations to all those recognized for this well-deserved honor.

We are proud of you Assistant Chief O'Brien, Assistant Chief French, Captain Wilson, Captain French and Firefighter Wilson.

Tonight, we light the night red.

This is more than a display of color—it is a symbol of remembrance, sacrifice, and unwavering brotherhood and sisterhood. We participate in lighting the night red to honor the brave firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

Behind every red light is a name, a story, a family, and a legacy that continues to inspire us every single day. These heroes answered the call without hesitation, putting others before themselves, and for that, we owe them more than words can express.

As the night glows red, we stand together in reflection and gratitude. We remember their service, we support their families, and we carry their memory forward in everything we do.

Gone, but never forgotten. ❤️🔥

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Father Sam Lundy.

On behalf of the Pamelia Volunteer Fire Department, we extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Father Sam played an incredible role in supporting the fire service, always keeping us in his prayers and watching over us as we answered the call. His presence brought a sense of comfort and strength, reminding us that we were never alone in the work we do.

Beyond his faith and dedication, Father Sam will be remembered for his remarkable sense of humor. He had a way of lighting up any room and could make anyone laugh—even in the most difficult and somber moments. That gift brought so much joy and relief to so many.

We are forever grateful for his unwavering support, his prayers, and the light he shared with all of us.

Rest easy, Father Sam. We will take it from here.

Very proud of our members as well as the Evans Mills Ambulance Squad and the New York State Police for their hard work and dedication yesterday in a patient's time of need. No matter the name of the agency on the side of the apparatus we are there for all the same reason.

Thank you Assistant Chief O'Brien, Assistant Chief French, Captain Wilson, Captain French and Firefighter Wilson for your continued dedication to our department!

This week, we proudly recognize and thank our incredible 911 dispatchers during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

Often unseen, but never unappreciated, they are truly the eyes in the sky and the steady voice guiding every call. They are the ears behind the scenes, gathering critical information, coordinating resources, and keeping everything moving seamlessly when seconds matter most.

They keep us safe. They keep us on track. They make sure we have what we need, when we need it.

Every call we respond to begins with them. Their calm under pressure, quick thinking, and unwavering dedication make it possible for us to do our jobs and, most importantly, return home safely to our families at the end of the day.

To our dispatchers, thank you for being the backbone of every response. Your work does not go unnoticed, and your impact is felt far beyond the headset.

We are grateful for you today and every day. 💛
