⚾ INDIAN RIVER YOUTH BASEBALL LEAGUE — BOARD MEMBERS NEEDED ⚾

Indian River Youth Baseball League is currently looking for dedicated volunteers to help lead and grow our program for the future of our players and community.

We are currently seeking individuals interested in the following positions:

• Commissioner
• Potential Vice Commissioner
• Treasurer
• Potential Secretary
• Potential Director for the Evans Mills Program

These positions are extremely important in helping keep our league organized, successful, and focused on providing the best experience possible for our players and families.

No prior board experience is required — just a willingness to work as a team, communicate, and help support youth baseball in our community. Only requirement is you must live in the Programs Jurisdiction to include the Town of Philadelphia, Theresa, LeRay, Pamelia and Village of Philadelphia, Theresa and Evans Mills.

The success of our league depends on volunteers stepping up both on and off the field. Fresh ideas, leadership, and community involvement are what keep youth sports strong.

☀️ It’s that time of year again!

Registration for the 2026 Summer Recreation Program will be held on June 27 and June 28, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Jack Williams Community Park. Applications will only be available at registration and will not be distributed beforehand.

Be sure to stop by and get your children signed up for another fun-filled summer of activities, games, and memories. We look forward to seeing you there!

🚧 TRAFFIC IMPACT & GATE CLOSURE NOTICE
(JUNE 5 – NOVEMBER 6) 🚧

Fort Drum community, please be aware of an upcoming construction project that will temporarily impact installation access.

Beginning June 5 at 5 p.m., the 𝙂𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝙂𝙖𝙩𝙚 will close for a major security and infrastructure upgrade. This work is essential to improving long‑term safety, efficiency, and access control for everyone who lives, works, and trains at Fort Drum.

📅 Construction Schedule:
June 5 through November 6, 2026 (dates subject to change)

🔒 𝙂𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝙂𝙖𝙩𝙚:
Closed for the duration of the project — no access permitted

🚪 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝘼𝙧𝙢𝙮 𝘼𝙞𝙧𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙 Gate Reopening:
The Wheeler Sack Army Airfield (WSAAF) Gate will reopen when 𝙂𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙮 closes and will serve as the primary access point throughout the construction period.
𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙒𝙎𝘼𝘼𝙁.

🛣️ Travel to Cantonment:
Those entering through WSAAF and heading to the cantonment area must use the Bomporto Bridge.

🎯 Access to the 4900 Area:
Access to the NCO Academy, Range Control, and surrounding facilities will remain open. Please follow posted signage and use caution when moving through construction zones.

🚗 Motorists are urged to follow detour signs and drive carefully near work zones.
