Forward Township was established in 1854 out of territory embraced in the original townships of Connoquenessing and Middlesex. The Township is named after the Honorable Walter Forward who was a judge in Allegheny County, PA., a member of the 17th U.S. Secretary of the Treasury from 1841 to 1843.

Road Closure Alert: Road Closure Alert. Weist Paving will close Oak, Birch, and Lloydmont roadways for a few hours on one day between Tuesday, June 2nd and Friday, June 5th. Thank you for your patience!

In addition to local neighborhood paving, Marburger Road will be closed for two full days between June 2nd and June 5th for road work. Please plan alternate routes.

Drivers Needed for Meals on Wheels!

We are in need of at least one driver right now. If you would like to volunteer or know someone who would like to volunteer please send us a PM on our page at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083328397734 with your phone number and an email address and someone will get back to you. If you do not have Facebook please call (724) 452-4270 and leave a message. Drivers drive one day a month and it takes about an hour of your time. Meals are picked up at 10:15 am at the English Lutheran Church in Zelie. Training is provided.
