As skill games continue to show up in convenience stores, bars, and social clubs, understanding their impact is more important than ever. Are they different from slot machines — or just another path to addiction?

Join Josh Ercole, the Executive Director for the Council on Compulsive Gambling of PA, on June 29th from 1–2 pm for a free virtual training that dives into these critical questions.

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.

"There is often a strong focus on men’s physical health — fitness, annual checkups, and heart health — but mental well-being is equally as important because mental health is health!

Just as the body needs care and attention, so does emotional and mental well-being. Yet, there is a silent crisis in men’s mental health — one that too often goes unnoticed or unspoken. Men are nearly four times more likely to die by su***de than women*, underscoring the urgent need to break this silence and seek support.

Small steps to care for mental health can lead to significant change. Let’s build a culture where men feel safe speaking up and reaching out. As a community, we can break the stigma, support one another, and ensure no one struggles in silence."

For World No To***co Day, Ambridge Middle School TRU members hosted an educational table to teach their peers about the dangers of to***co and ni****ne use.

Through peer to peer education, students shared important facts, answered questions, and encouraged healthy lifestyles. We are proud of these youth leaders for helping raise awareness and making a positive impact in their school community!

Did you answer correctly?

The answer is B. O***m Poppy!

Opioids are a class of drugs naturally found in the o***m poppy plant. Some prescription opioids are made from the plant directly, and others are made by scientists in labs using the same chemical structure.

The best ways to prevent opioid overdose deaths are to improve safe opioid prescribing, reduce exposure to opioids, prevent misuse, and treat opioid use disorder (OUD).
