Aiden's Army Aiden's Army is a nonprofit organization working to raise awareness for Pediatric Cancer.

Aiden's Army Missions
1) To provide care bags filled with comfort items to children under two who are battling cancer or other long term illnesses requiring hospitalization

2) Raise money to put towards research of new drugs and treatments for pediatric cancers

3) Raise awareness for pediatric cancer

4) Provide children taking Make A Wish trips to Disney World with a postcard about a month befo

re their trip. This postcard will have a special message about seeing them soon and have the autograph of one of their favorite characters.

5) Send out handmade cards to children with cancer on holidays, their birthday, or a special occasion (transplant, surgery, NED status)

6) If a child is on treatment we will send them a yellow ribbon bead for their beads of courage.

Pediatric Cancer isn’t just one cancer, there are over a dozen categories and countless subtypes.

Alright this one is super important especially if you ever see someone posting about their child having cancer. Childhood cancers are NOT the same as adult cancers. Please,please,please do not tell a parent they somehow caused their child’s cancer by what they fed them, if they breast fed or bottle fed, or what types of products they might use on them. The parent is already beating themselves up and honestly they have no reason to. Most childhood cancers are caused by random mutations not environmental factors.

Let’s take a look at some of the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer today. Also as a mother I just want to say always trust your gut. For months before his diagnosis Aiden would have fevers all the time and then he started to look like he was bloated or had a little Buddha belly. When I would take him to the pediatrician they gave all sorts of different reasons: scarlet fever, milk intolerance, flu. Finally I took him into an urgent care who knew something was wrong but didn’t have the equipment to figure it out so sent us to the ER. If you think something might be wrong with your child ADVOCATE for them, especially if they are too young to speak for themselves.
