Redwood Coast Energy Authority staff recently had the opportunity to visit RCEA’s Redwood Coast Airport Microgrid (RCAM), a project developed and operated by RCEA, and the Blue Lake Rancheria microgrid. It was a great chance to see two leading examples of clean energy innovation and resilience in action here on the North Coast.

Thank you to Heidi Moore-Guynup, Director of Tribal and Government Affairs at Blue Lake Rancheria Tribe, and the Blue Lake Rancheria team for the thoughtful tour and for sharing their work and insights.

Happy National Bike Month! 🚲⚡Yesterday, members of the Redwood Coast Energy Authority team traded four wheels for two and biked in for the morning commute. Whether you ride for your health, your wallet, or the planet, every trip by bike helps reduce traffic, lower emissions, and support a cleaner community. 🌎

Did you know? Replacing just a few car trips each week with biking can significantly reduce transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions — one of the largest sources of emissions in California.

Thinking about making the switch to riding more often? RCEA’s E-Bike Voucher Program can help eligible customers save on the purchase of an e-bike through participating local bike shops.
