Exercises like this are critical in preparing future law enforcement officers to handle real-world situations where accuracy and integrity can make or break a case. Great work by all involved!

In MOD II, cadets receive 26 hours of arrest and control training. Today, Class 137 received instruction in ground control. Ground control is a critical component of police academy training, equipping cadets with essential skills to protect themselves and safely manage suspects.

The Basic Law Enforcement Academy at College of the Redwoods is looking for dynamic, confident adults to serve as Role-Players in live training scenarios. This is your chance to be part of the experience that prepares tomorrow’s law enforcement professionals for the real world.
🎭 What You’ll Do:
Bring realistic scenarios to life. Challenge Cadets. Help them sharpen their communication, decision-making, and de-escalation skills before they serve our community.
✅ Minimum Requirements:
• 18 years or older
• Comfortable in high-energy environments (you may get yelled at—it’s part of the training!)
• Willing to be around training equipment, including simulated fi****ms, knives, and handcuffs
