We are pleased to announce that we are expanding our service in Holiday Island! To the left of the door at SunFest Market, you can find a drop box for returning library materials anytime, and lockers for picking up reserved items. Please allow extra time for these services, and call or email to specify pickup at this location. Big thanks to Justin at SunFest for providing the space, April & Dustin for prepping and installing the components, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York for funding the project.

The library will be closed Sunday, May 24th & Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

Thank you to Sharon Roberts ,Amy Clements, and Cindy Findlay for their help weeding and planting to give the Carnegie Library garden a seasonal refresh this past Saturday. Next time you walk by the library, take a moment to step inside the garden and see how beautiful they have helped make this become!

Interested in gardening, but don't have the space? The library is now "checking out" raised garden beds for the growing season! As part of the Carnegie Corporation's grant to our library, we have purchased and installed raised beds in the Carnegie Library Community Garden (complete with covers to prevent local wildlife from grazing in them) to share with the community.

Grow fruits, veggies, herbs (whatever you like), and keep your harvest or share with your neighbors. The space is yours to cultivate and harvest as you wish. The beds are ready-to-go: filled with fresh soil, there's a spring fed garden hose for watering, and we have gardening tools to check out if you need them.

Couldn’t make it to one of the 100+ screenings of THE LIBRARIANS this National Library Week? Don’t forget that Kim A Snyder - Films’ award-winning documentary is still streaming for FREE on the PBS’ YouTube channel and app but only for TWO MORE WEEKS!

Wherever you are in the U.S., this weekend is the perfect time to watch our superhero librarians “show us that if you’re willing to not succumb to operating from a place of fear … you can actually affect change in your own town.” (Dallas Observer) Watch for free until May 9th and see why you should join them as a Freedom to Read advocate in your community.
