I want to thank all of our citizens for their patience and good will during this snowstorm and the extremely cold weather. A special thanks goes out to our Public Works Department for working through the night and day to clear our main streets as much as possible. With so many of our roads being narrow and hilly, they did an excellent job keeping the primary routes open and safe.
Please remember that not all of our streets are wide enough for the graders to get through and turn around. Our crews are doing the very best they can under difficult conditions.
We now have a major water line break on Highway 62 West near Oil Springs Road, and our street and water crews are working to repair it. Please avoid that area if you can.
Our citizens deserve a big thank you for your continued patience and understanding. While temperatures may warm slightly—which will help—we are expecting another major cold front soon.
On the bright side, it’s only 53 days until spring.
Please stay warm and stay safe.

This year, we are raffling three guns to raise funds for our Shop with a Cop event! Tickets may be purchased at the Eureka Springs Police Department.

1 for $5 or 5 for $20. All proceeds go directly to supporting local children through the Shop with a Cop program.

UPDATE: Due to the rescheduling of the NWA Ballet 'Dracula Here Now' (which was delayed due to the city-wide power outage a few weeks ago) we are cancelling the floor restoration workshop this weekend. Currently, we are working with the CAPC and Main Street Eureka Springs to get rescheduled, most likely for mid-late January 2026. Follow our page for the new dates as soon as we receive confirmation!

The Building Department, in conjunction with Main Street Eureka Springs, is hosting a workshop on restoring the historic floors at the The Auditorium this Friday, November 7th - Sunday, November 9th. We are looking for a handful of volunteers who would like to learn the process and contribute to the restoration of one of the most iconic structures downtown. If interested, please reach out to Jess or Paul via the direct department line, to sign up.

Zombie Crawl 2025 is coming up next Saturday, October 25th. In order to provide a safe and fun environment for everyone, parking along Spring Street will be cleared at 3:00pm to secure the area and maintain a safe route for all participants. Thank you for your attention to this information.
