PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Eunice and Lea County are working together to educate residents and help mitigate the risk posed by the New World screwworm to both animals and humans.

As part of this effort, representatives from Lea County will be going door-to-door throughout the community over the next several days to provide educational materials, answer questions, and gather information that may assist in prevention and response efforts. Residents may see county officials, law enforcement officers, and other authorized personnel in their neighborhoods during this outreach campaign.

La ciudad de Eunice y el condado de Lea colaboran para educar a los residentes y ayudar a mitigar el riesgo que representa la mosca barrenadora del Nuevo Mundo para animales y humanos. Como parte de esta iniciativa, representantes del condado de Lea visitarán casa por casa en la comunidad durante los próximos días para distribuir material educativo, responder preguntas y recabar información que pueda contribuir a las labores de prevención y respuesta.
