08/01/2022

TODAY'S THE DAY! As of today at 9 a.m., all of SVdP's Family Services, including First Place Family Center, First Place Kids, and the Night Shelter Annex, will operate at 4060 W. Amazon Drive, Eugene OR 97405.

We want to extend a big thank you to our amazing donors!

Yesterday, the Night Shelter Annex received a generous donation of a brand new co****le game!
Larry and Margie, our neighbors who continually support our programs through donations of food, supplies, and volunteer support at the Annex, donated this fun resource yesterday for our kiddos and their parents, who have all experienced the trauma of homelessness while still tirelessly working with their case managers to become stably housed.
"I am extremely humbled by the spirit of compassion, love, and support that these neighbors have continued to shower upon their most vulnerable neighbors. Such a showing of support not only serves as a model for myself but makes me so overwhelming proud to be another resilient resident of this beautiful Eugene and Springfield community," wrote Mike Yoshioka, Youth and Family Services Director. !

**On the same day of this photo, our amazing team of Family Support Specialists and Case Managers housed yet another Night Shelter family in their new home which ended their multi-year period of homelessness for themselves and their son.**

Wonderful Eugene community:

We would appreciate donations of toilet paper, bleach, and N95 masks for our direct care service providers.

We have sufficient supplies of diapers, wipes, shampoo and conditioner.

Donations can be dropped off at 1995 Amazon Parkway between 10 am and 3 pm.

Thank you!

The First Place Family Center, located at 1995 Amazon Parkway, will be adapting its services in order to better ensure the safety of its staff and our families.
The following changes will take effect Friday, March 27th:

• All families currently being sheltered overnight through the Night Shelter program will remain sheltered throughout the night and day at the Annex shelter facility.
• The First Place Family Center (FPFC), located at 1995 Amazon Parkway, will still remain open for literally homeless or extremely vulnerable families 7 days a week. Hours have been reduced to 10am – 3pm.
o Services at the FPFC will be restricted to picking up critical supplies such as food, diapers, toiletries and other hygiene products.
o Entrance into the FPFC facility will be limited to one family at a time for use of bathrooms, laundry, and showers only.
o FPFC will still be accepting and processing applications for the Homeless Prevention and Barrier Busters programs by appointment only Saturday thru Wednesdays 10am – 3pm. Interested families should still contact Kevin Douglas at [email protected] or 541-357-1734.

o Families who have questions about services at FPFC should still call 541-342-7728.

o General physical donations to SVdP are not being collected at FPFC at this time. The only donations being accepted at this time are masks, hand sanitizer, and temporal thermometers.
