Let's squash the rumor mill about talking with an ARMY RECRUITER.
1) Talking with a recruiter DOES NOT mean you are joining the military. We EDUCATE you.
2) We DO NOT assign you jobs based on the ARMY needs. YOU choose what you want to do based on what you qualify for. (NUMBER 1 PERK OF CHOOSING THE ARMY OVER OTHER BRANCH)
3) We DO NOT pay more or less than any other branch.
However, our promotion rate is statistically faster. More
rank = more money
4) We are not all combat, not every job you choose leads to you storming the hill saving private ryan.
5) Benefits are the same. No branch is better than the other. Education(no wait to use tuition assistance in the army or army reserve), Health, Dental - ALL SAME
6) BONUSES are nice, but not guaranteed. Different jobs have different Bonuses. During the enlistment process you will see BEFORE signing your contract if you qualify for a bonus. NOT EVERY CONTRACT IS 4 YEARS. We offer 2YR, 3YR, 4YR, 5, 6YR contracts as well. Once again, your choice.
The more you know!

Sgt. Diamond Turner, a human resources specialist with the 95th Training Division - Initial Entry Training, was serving as cadre support for the Combined Best Squad Competition at U.S. Army Fort Knox, Kentucky, when she earned the rare opportunity to compete for the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.

The badge requires Soldiers to complete a series of events, including swimming, marksmanship, a ruck march and first aid, to qualify for a bronze, silver, or gold award.

During the swim qualification, Turner fell short on her first two attempts that day and had missed the standard by 12 seconds two days prior. She asked for one final chance.

On her third attempt, she touched the wall at 3 minutes, 59.7 seconds, qualifying for the GAFPB.
