Facing Giants

Facing Giants Facing Giants is a trauma-responsive hub where moms and kids connect, grow, and heal together.

We offer sensory and play rooms, family-focused groups, and provider spaces that expand trauma-informed, child-centered care across our community.

Kids are expected to learn, regulate, connect, communicate, and heal in environments that often overwhelm their nervous systems first.

Facing Giants was created differently.

We’re building a child-focused, sensory-responsive environment where providers, educators, facilitators, and families can support children through connection, creativity, movement, collaboration, and play.

Because environment matters.

We currently offer:
• weekly provider sublet opportunities
• private play & sensory room parent-child reservations
• workshops and groups
• collaborative community programming

In-office inquiry hours are now available Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 10:00–11:30am for provider tours, booking inquiries, and facilitator conversations.

Connection happens differently here.

Connection happens differently here ✨

Children don’t thrive in sterile spaces. They thrive where they feel safe—where nervous systems can settle, curiosity is welcomed, and connection comes first.

That’s why we built the play room at Facing Giants.

Our play and sensory spaces were intentionally designed to create more developmentally appropriate environments where children and families can regulate, explore, build confidence, and engage naturally in a world increasingly dominated by screens and overstimulation.

We offer weekly reserved provider sublets starting at just 4 hours per week for therapists, educators, SLPs, OTs, coaches, and other professionals looking for consistent in-person space without the overhead of a full office.

This space is ideal for:
• Family sessions
• Child-centered therapy
• Feeding groups
• Parent-child work
• Workshops and holistic family programming

Our focus is prevention, harm reduction, and helping families access support earlier—before crisis deepens.

While therapy is incredibly valuable, many families also need practical tools, education, and community long before they qualify for services or can access traditional systems of care.

We’re building more than office rentals—we’re building a multidisciplinary community where providers, educators, and lived-experience leaders can collaborate to reduce barriers and support families in more meaningful ways.

If your clients would benefit from a more child-focused environment, we’d love to show you the space.

For the providers who hold a lot—
who sit with hard stories, big emotions, and complex family dynamics—

The environment you work in matters, too.

Facing Giants offers space to do meaningful work in a setting designed for children and families—while also supporting you as the provider.

This offers the opportunity to build work that is:
• sustainable
• flexible
• creatively fulfilling

All within a child-centered, trauma-responsive environment that supports both connection and engagement.

We’re opening space for aligned professionals to join a growing, multidisciplinary community.

Children know when a space is for them.

They feel it in:
– how they’re greeted
– what’s available to them
– whether they’re expected to sit still… or allowed to be kids

At Facing Giants, children aren’t asked to adjust to the environment.
The environment is designed with them in mind.

A space where:
• play is respected as communication
• nervous systems are considered
• connection leads the work

For providers, this means your work is supported from the moment a child walks in.

We’re currently offering sublet opportunities for professionals serving women and children navigating adversity.

We’d love to show you the space—message us or book a tour.

Healing doesn’t happen in silos.
And families don’t experience life in categories.

At Facing Giants, we’re building something different—
a multidisciplinary hub where providers collaborate, refer, and grow alongside one another.

All within a space designed for:
• child-led engagement
• trauma-responsive support
• real-world family dynamics

If your work supports women, mothers, or children navigating adversity—
there’s space for you here.

Not just physically.
But within a network of professionals working across disciplines—expanding what support can look like for the families we serve.

This offers providers the opportunity to expand their work within a child-centered environment—while building a practice that is both sustainable and professionally fulfilling.

Greater autonomy. More creative flexibility. And a way of serving families that feels aligned with their real-life needs.

You’ve done the trainings.
You care deeply about the kids you serve.

And you know how much the environment shapes what’s possible.

Facing Giants was created with that in mind.

A space where:
• play is respected as communication
• children feel safe walking in
• your work is supported by the environment around you

We’re inviting providers to sublet space and expand their services in a setting intentionally designed for children and families navigating adversity.

Perfect for:
Therapists • OTs • SLPs • Parenting Educators • Doulas • Child Development Specialists • Group Facilitators

Limited weekly recurring openings available. Reach out to connect.

There are children in our community who don’t need more compliance-based environments.

They need spaces that actually meet them where they are.

At Facing Giants, we’ve created a play-based, trauma-responsive environment where:
• children are centered, not accommodated
• nervous systems are considered, not overlooked
• connection leads, not correction

We’re opening sublet opportunities for providers, educators, and child/family professionals who want to serve differently.

This includes access to:
– Play Room (child-led engagement)
– Sensory Room (regulation + settling)
– Group Room (classes, circles, education)
– Therapy Room (1:1 or small group support)

Join a growing, multidisciplinary community walking alongside women and children navigating adversity—with intention, not isolation.

Weekly recurring blocks available.

Most providers doing meaningful work with women and children are carrying more than what’s visible.

Holding stories.
Supporting families through hard seasons.
Adapting constantly to what each child needs.

And often… doing all of that in spaces that weren’t designed for the work you’re actually doing.

Facing Giants was created with that in mind.

Not because providers aren’t doing incredible work—but because the environment around that work should support you, too.

We offer sublet opportunities in a space that’s already set up for:
– child-led play and engagement
– sensory needs and regulation
– parent-child connection
– small groups and education

So you don’t have to keep adjusting, managing, or piecing things together.

You get to walk in and focus on your clients.

Recurring weekly blocks are available for providers who want to expand their work in a way that feels more supported, more aligned, and more sustainable.

If it’s something you’ve been thinking about—even quietly—we’d be happy to show you the space.

Lane County professionals, practitioners, and community helpers who support children and mothers — we’d love to connect with you.

Facing Giants is reimagining how communities support families by creating multidisciplinary environments intentionally designed for children, mothers, and the professionals who serve them.

A place where care, connection, and collaboration come together under one roof.

Our downtown Eugene space is designed to support professionals working with children and families while also creating an environment where kids are welcomed and able to engage naturally through play and sensory experiences.

The space currently includes:

• A dedicated play room designed for child-led engagement and developmentally appropriate interaction
• A separate sensory room designed to support regulation and nervous system settling
• A bereavement room created in collaboration with Too Beautiful for Earth, available for therapy sessions or intimate group support
• A group room for circles, parent education, classes, and family programming

Facing Giants is growing into a multidisciplinary community hub, bringing together professionals from different fields who share a commitment to supporting children and mothers more holistically.

We’re especially interested in connecting with professionals such as:
• Therapists and counselors
• Occupational or developmental specialists
• Play therapists
• Parenting educators
• Child development professionals
• Grief and bereavement providers
• Family advocates
• Educators or child-focused specialists
• Other professionals serving children and mothers

Sublet options are available for 4-hour weekly blocks up to expanded schedules, making it possible to work with children and families in a thoughtfully designed environment without the overhead of creating a child-focused space yourself.

If you're interested in touring the space, please send us a DM and tell us a little about your work. We’d love to connect and get you scheduled for a tour and conversation.

And if someone comes to mind who serves children and families, please tag them or share this post so we can continue expanding support for families across Lane County.
